What a deal we have for you!  SCCA has announced a streamlined Permit-to-License process for 2014 to get you into the game faster than ever, and the Washington DC Region is offering a this-year-only package of incentives to make that process even smoother - and easier on your wallet.

First, get a jump start on the season and a leg up on the drivers' school with the Performance Driving Experience (PDX) March 15-16.  Any novice permit holder who attends both our March PDX and our Drivers' School will receive a $100 refund from the region.

Second, we have a heck of a Drivers' School planned for March 29-30, at rollback pricing - only $199 !  We haven't seen these kinds of prices since the last century!

And finally, any novice permit holder who completes the DC Region's 2014 school will be charged an entry fee of only $199 for each of the region's first three MARRS events at Summit Point (April 12-13, June 21-22, and July 12-13, 2014) - same pricing as Drivers' School!  You can go from novice to fully licensed racing driver in only a few short months.

Registration for Drivers' School is expected to open on or about February 1.  Registration for PDX and MARRS events generally opens one month in advance.  Go to to register.

There has not been a deal this good since way back in the last century!

Washington DC Competition Driver School registration is now open.

The Washington D.C. Region announces a School for Club Racing competition license to be held March 28-30, 2014 at the
Summit Point Motor Sports Park in Summit Point, West Virginia. The entry fee is $199 and there are additional discounts
available (see details below). The school will start with an orientation and flag test on Friday evening 03/28
which is mandatory for all students. Starting Saturday morning students will be rotating through on-track
sessions, in-classroom debriefings and receiving individual instruction. There are practice starts and races on
Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. The event closes with a graduation ceremony Sunday evening. The
school is open to those students who fulfill the GCR requirements and want to acquire their SCCA competition

Amazing offer: Any novice permit holder who completes the DC Region’s 2014 school may enter each of the
first three MARRS events at Summit Point (April 12-13, June 21-22, and July 12-13, 2014 events only) for
$199. This is a substantial discount from the regular entry fee which should help enable more drivers to get
into the sport. In addition, Students who pay in full for and attend both the WDCR PDX on March 15-16 and the
Drivers’ School will receive a $100 rebate. Contact the club office for details.

The driver school is also open to drivers currently holding a competition license whom are looking for further instruction. All licensed drivers must be approved by the chief steward before registering. Priority will be given to new non-licensed participants.
Contact the chief instructor at for more information. All participants will have a personal
instructor and be required to attend all debrief sessions.

There is a dedicated page for the DC Region’s Driver School on our website under Club Racing section with
additional information, forms to download, and a student packet including required written test and more.
Please visit for more information and to register.
